Psilocybe Cubensis

Cubensis Magic Mushrooms

Psilocybe Cubensis is a mushroom of which the main active components are psilocybin and psilocin. The mushrooms are red cinnamon-brown to golden-brown in color and when bruised, they turn blue/purple when bruised by oxidation of their psilocin content.

Cubensis fruits are best in a 100% moist atmosphere. Fruit bodies will grow in less than saturated air, but the primordia will not form very well. Cubensis will be much more tolerant of changes in humidity when a coating is used.

Our Psilocybe cubensis spore prints are from a pan-tropical species of mind-bending mushroom called Psilocybe cubensis and recognised by almost everyone, everywhere.

While the UK isn’t exotic enough for Psilocybe cubensis to call home, we do have our own native and very much loved species of fun guys named ‘Psilocybe Semilanceata’, aka ‘Liberty caps’.
